10 acre peice........Whadda think about it?????
 

Well, I recieved intstructions from my neighbor to go hunt this 10 acre parcel of woods behind an elderly ladys house that he tends to. I go back and scout for a few minutes today and made it quick to avoid any contact with the deer. There is a bean field across the road, that commonly holds 20 to 30 deer a night, and I am sure there are a few coming from this property. I found good, fresh rubs, we spotted an 8 point that I would be more than happy to take about 250 yards away, and the spot is beatiful open woods, with plenty of white oaks that didnt bear this year. Just wanted a few opinions, feel free to throw them in.

This is the edited map, red is the property line, yellow are my stand sights, Dark Blue is whereI beleive they are bedding, light blue are paths w/ a few fresh rubs on them, green is horse pasture that is off limits to hunt and is surrounded by a 4 ft electric fence.

whats the SE corner of the horse psture look like?I'd check it out if you haven't yet. Looks like a natural entry point into the pasture if deer are feeding there. These little properties can sometimes produce big. Good luck!

Nothing really for the deer to feed on in there, that I know of. I need to do a prospect sit, that will tell me a whole lot more.

No entry in the south east corner. I sat ehre today for the first time, and saw a total of 8 deer, a few bb's and some does. I think it will be better on cold weather
