Border Crossing Scents

Was thinking of purchasing a couple scents and have heard very good things about Border Crossing's scents, do any of you have any experience with these? if so, how'd it go?

thanks for the info

I'm trying the Deer Herd in a stick and VS-1 this year but I haven't pulled it out of my bag of tricks quite yet. 1st week of Nov. is when I'll give them a shot.

I had the VS-1 stick last year. I never got to try it, as I killed my buck on Halloween, to early for it. I then gave it to my buddy to try in november here in Pa, and he reported to me on 2 or 3 different occasions that he had decent 2.5 year old bucks get really nervous when the went they got near where he placed the scent. He swears his wind was good, and when he left the stuff in the truck, he had no problems getting deer to walk by, and arrowed a buck. He started to use it when we noticed some does coming in heat and bucks were after them feverishly, so who knows.

Now we're not hunting a great herd of trophy animals in our area. So I can't comment on what happens when a mature buck walks into the vicinity.

Any sdeer cent on the market has given me less then satisfactory results anymore. I continue to alert deer with it, spook them, and basically ruin good hunts with the stuff. I try it every year, and get the same results consistently.

I used the Deer Herd in a stick last year, and had several deer - including some nice bucks - in close range while hunting on the ground. I think it's a good product for use as a cover scent, but it's pricey.

I tried Deer herd in a bottle a couple of years ago. It stinks to high he?+ ! It spooked an old doe instantly. I never saw another deer that day. I haven't used it since. It could have been somethingelse that ran off that doe, but why take the risk.
