I'm a newb here, sharing with you all what is available just 16 mi N of Downtown Los Angeles. Last weeks harvest; still one more tag to fill.

Way to go! I know what it takes to hunt in areas similiar to the ones you hunt as my primary hunting area is only 22 miles southwest of Boston.

That's a nice buck...........

Thank you all for your inviting greetings and kind words. What a great spot and stalk it was. Got within 35 yards of a herd of 8 mulies (5 does & 3 bucks). Just waited until the biggest of the three bucks took his turn feeding over to my perfect quartering away presentation position. There was one spike,another small forky/spike, and then this "randy" fello. He was the boss; already starting to rut around all of the does if any where to wonder off just a bit.
Just wondering...did anyone here happen to catch me on ESPN in 2006 while competing as contestant #12in Wayne Pearson's Ultimate Outdoorsman Search? I was up in Mecklin, South Dakota on the E Circle E hunting pheasants against a guy from Kansas.
