what type and how many deer tags?
I was just wondering what type and how many deer tags you allowed where your from?
In northeast ohio where Im from we are allowed 2 either sex tags, and 2 antlerless tags, and the antlerless tags are for bow season, and urban gun only.

RE: what type and how many deer tags?
I'm from Wisconsin and when we buy an archery tag we get one tag for either sex and one tag for antlerless only. When I buy a rifle tag it is the same way. I can get bonus tags to shoot a doe for $1.00. You can only shoot (1) buck per season with the bow and (1)buck per season with the rifle.

Ontario Canada:
1 tag, its an antlered tag over the counter but you can pay to get into lottery to see if it can become an antlerless tag (any deer) by phone months ahead of the opener.
Certain areas with good populations sell additional tags, they are mostly archery only and they sell out quick, I wasn't able to get any so my season is over because I used my one tag on Wednesday.
I am really jealous of you guys that can purchase lots of tags!

well kind depends. in my county of sullivan. I get two state wide achary tags. one doe one either sex. Then i get one gun tag a buck only tag.
I get one muzzleloader tag. It is either sex. I only can shoot one buck all year. Then i can get 3 bonus anterless tags per my countys limit. So there 2 for bow one for gun one for muzzleloader. so four if i shoot a buck with a gun. Three more for does for a total of 7.
If i hunt differnt countys i get more bonus tags. The next county north is 8. I was told if you tag out in every county you can shoot 300 deer

In Indiana we have a "One Buck" rule. You can take only one buck during all seasons. Doe, or anterless, permits are almost unlimited and your second and subsequent permits are discounted. There is an antlerless quota for each county but some counties allow you as many as eight. I counted up last year that you could, theoretically, take over 300 deer. The antlerless permits are valid during all of the various hunting seasons.

Two Buck tags with license and two doe tags by applying. Could have gotten at least a few more doe tags but not for my home zone.
They give out doe permits for my MA Zone 11 to anyone who wants but still can't get the herd under control.
Were losing hunters fast and no new ones to take their places. We NEED more hunters I just don't want them on my small piece of public land!!
