Default Yesterday Coyotes, Today...

FARM DOGS! I was in the stand no more than two minutes when a doe blasted through. A minute later, a big black dog came trotting through. After that, I saw a skunk and 42000 squirrels. Not another deer all evening! I'm starting to get irked. I sat there tonight wondering since you can't carry a firearm while bow hunting here, maybe I should pull out the .270 that I used this afternoon at my pond and carry that to the stand and just canine hunt and then if a deer walks by, whack it with the bow. I won't be deer hunting that way.

I've been having problems with the coyote population. I'm going out this winter to take care of them. Be careful and dont get caught

Oh, I wouldn't do that, although I thought about it. 'Yote season here is 365 days long. I will be in a different stand tomorrow, even though this one is the most productive so far.

FARM DOGS!

This absolutely describes my last hunt....Thursday night. The dogs that came by me were the neighbor's and the female, Holly, actually walked right under my stand and scratched out a spot and peed.[:@]

Then, a fat grey squirrel almost committed suicide by jumping on me from about 5 feet away. Instead it jumped above me and every time I looked up I had to stare at her behind beforeI got tired of it and shooed her away. Needless to say, no deer sighted that night!

reminds me of the forst deer I almost shot. I was on the ground walking to my stand, and I see a doe standing 15 yards in front of me, I come to full draw and she has one more step to take and I will have a good view of her boiler room then I hear a bark and she takes off then a few seconds here comes a dog chasing her I was so mad lol
