Even though it took you 25 years to take a deer, I'd be inclined to call you more of a hunter than some of the people we see on the TV shows who shoot giant deer that most of us will never see!! Their persistence involves sitting for a few hours on a heavily managed fenced in property or with high priced guides....all being paid for by sponsorships. Yours on the other hand involved a willingness to keep trying year after year...because you LOVE it.....not because you are trying to sell a friggen product!!
My first deer was also "just a small doe" that I took with my bow. But I still think back to that hunt almost more than any other. That deer will always be my number one trophy. Probably even if I manage to drop a monster buck someday.
Disclaimer: I realize not all the celebs fit my description above but I think my point was made.

I absolutely love these first deer posts. we'll be needing some pictures though, that's the only thing missing.

I was using a mechanical, and the exit wound was unreal. Wait till you see it. I am amazed at how big it was. She only ran about 50 yards, but the size of the exit, I surprized she ran that far.
