honey locust trees
 
We have a lot of honey locust trees in the south, I know deer love them but what is best time to hunt them... acorns are sparse this year for me so looking at all available alternate food sources

God I wished the acorns weren't so plentiful up here. I sat 5 times last week and only seen one deer. But it was making a scrape:D.

I love hunting over Honey Locust! I have found them best before acorns start falling so if there aren't any acorns, you have the spot! Not to say they stop hitting them after acorns start falling, though.
They are alot like acorns, they will hit one tree harder than another.

Dont have any acorns on the trees on my property that I hunt....but racked 100lbs upouta my yard the other day.....hmmmmmmmmm
