2 or 3 blade rage?
Bought some rage 3 blade broadheads today . I am very impressed with how the fly. I was just wondering the pros/cons of the 2 blade vs 3 blade. I s it personal preferance?

RE: 2 or 3 blade rage?
The 2-blade has a larger cutting diameter, which is 2.5 inches and the 3-blade is 2 inches.
It seems that the 2-blade is a more popular head. Either way, it will do some damage. Good Luck |
RE: 2 or 3 blade rage?
I have always preferd a 3 blade head. But I have no idea WHY.

RE: 2 or 3 blade rage?
I also like the 3 blades because the 2 blades seemed like they would cut a "slit" instead of more of a hole like the 3 blade. Either way, they are going to put 'em down. I don't see any advantage of one over the other.

The 2 blade Rage is getting so much more of a higher review than the 3 blade version, same with the Snypers, go with the 2 blade or go with another head.;)

RE: 2 or 3 blade rage?
They had issues with the three blades originally which is probably why many just started using the 2 blade.. Plus most people use them for the large ammount of damage that they are capable of so many choose 2 blade cuz it cuts a bigger hole.. My brother tried the 3 blade this year and didn't like them, he switched to a Striker..
But either way, put it where it belongs and they will both work.... |
RE: 2 or 3 blade rage?
If you're state doesn't allow "barbed" broadheads, the 3 blade may not be legal .....
eg., NY ....2-blade is legal 3-blade is not |
RE: 2 or 3 blade rage?
The 2-blades cut a bigger hole and produce a great blood trail. The 3-blade actually has more cutting surface and is suppose to be a little better for penetration. I prefer the 2-blade. At 70#'s of KE, penetration is not a problem for my setup. I like the massive amount of blood for trailing purposes. I've shot 2 doe's this year and neither of them went more than 25yds.
