man....thats crazy...glad you had the harness on and were OK....

i dont think i ever wanna test my harness....just for that reason you mentioned :D i KNOW its not gunna be "user friendly" but, better than hitting the ground.....i guess ;)

ive always wondered what severly outta shape guys, or real old timers would do if they hit the end of their rope...i see alot of hunters that i KNOW cant pull themselves back up or bend and manuever around to get back on stand...with a climber, your going to be hanging below your stand...nothin but straight, limbless tree below you....might not have a cell phone or service...or maybe its up in your pack or something....only option may be cut it and hit the ground....the thing that kills you about a fall is you dont hit feet first...i guess falling 10-15ft feet first might be doable...very survivable.....
