Grunting ?????

Do you use grunting to lure deer in? Buck, doe, fawn, grunt, bleat? What are all you doing. What sort of sequence do you do? Just trying to better myself out there. Thanks for the info.

RE: Grunting ?????

Last year I used a small grunt call. When I say small I am referring to the volume it produces. I honestly just mimicked what I had seen on TV and what felt good out there. After a few minutes, no kidding, I had a nice little 8-point come at a fast walk over the ridge about 80-90 yards out and came right to me. Took the shot at 30 yrds. Last year was my first year to try using it. I'll be using again this year. ;)

RE: Grunting ?????

I get really aggressive with my grunting around Halloween and continue to do so through the rut. I grunt about six times every 15 or 20 minutes. More if the buck isn't showing interest ordoesn't hear you (which is probable).I used to follow the "three grunts every thirty minutes rule" but I don't any longer. Matter of fact, every buck I've killed has been the result of my blind calling. Also, get a MAD buck growl. I don't use the growl feature but that call puts out one LOUD grunt. Good luck and don't be afraid to try something different. You may be amazed!
