Bucks chasing does already in WI????
 

I'm hearing from other people that they've seen bucks chasing does already here. Is it true guys? have any of you guys seen this yet?

Im not from WI but some does do come into estrus early. I have already seen bucks fighting in September, and bucks chasing does in October.

Anything is possible.

As of Sunday I have not seen a buck chasing a doe. They have been fighting like cats & dogs though.

It's definitely possible to see bucks chasing does this time of year. Many mature does will come into estrous during the second week of October, i.e now. Also we have seen more rubs on our property for this time of year than ever before, gets ya excited just thinking about it!:D

Read a tidbit in the local paper by the outdoor writer, Mike Jackson. He stated the the rut might be a little earlier than expected inIllinois. I will bwlieve it whenI see it...

I have seen a buck chasing a doe here in PA and i rattled in 4 bucks last night!!

I saw a buck chasing a doe get him by a truck this am. it was sad..nice deer too.

If there are bucks chasing, I'd bet that the racks on top of the heads weren't much to write home about!!

Ive seen a couple little guys running does, but thats what they do when theyre young and stupid. The only nice buck I saw chased off a smaller one. This cool weather has kicked the deer activity into overdrive in my area.

I'd say, dogging does....bucks are ready, does are not.....at least not in PA and WI is in the same time frame usually.

I'd bet on a later rut rather than earlier this year but let's hope it's right on time.

Unless WI buck to doe is out of whack and the numbers are high, I'd believe a buck dogging a doe but not full blown chasing.
