Scent Wafers
 

Does anyone use scent wafers in thier scent free bags with thier clothes? I bought some "Fresh Earth" wafers and they had such a strong chemical smell that I cannot imagine that it would not spook the deer. If you use a cover scent to help store your clothes what do you use?

I have used the fresh earth cover wafers for years, I think I still have some that are 3-4 yrs old and still smell. To awnser the question, no I dont think I have ever had a problem with them. I allways throw them in my tote full of clothes. And add some fresh leaves too for a good fresh smell. They work and are strong at first!!!

I do as well. Earth Wafer in the tote and I swap mine out with a new one weekly. Never had a problem.

They work great! I put them in my big Zip-Locs (XXL ones). Sometimes I break off some Pine and throw in too.

i rather smell like as little of anything as possible....exspecially man made scents....those waffers are a great idea....but they smell strong and slightly funky to my nose....i cant imagine what they smell like to a deer....

alot of guys use them with success....but i bet most of them play the wind...

i take the other approach and try to be as scent free as possible....i'll never get rid of ALL my human scent...we know that....but you can minimize it...

I use them and love them I havent had to buy any for a few years. I keep my clothes in a air tight tub with 3 fresh earthwafers, that smell really gets through all the clothes.

I have started using one in my bowcase to hide my scent on my equipment.
I use carbon suits, and according to the instructions, you should not use scent or scent eliminators on the carbon suits.

I use them in my container with my clothes and i clip one on my hat and inside my back pack. So far so good. I have a package of the white oak ones and i was going to use them b/c i ran out of earth ones but it was such a strong smell and i couldnt take it! I am sticking with the earth ones.

I sometimes use waffers, but the majority of the time I use the fresh earth scent dryer sheets. Throw a couple of those in my bag and them seem to work pretty well.
