We have had great luck with them, all with buck decoys. Set it up so the wind is from it to you. You want it quarting in to you, within range. All of our setups have been in secluded field edges that we expected bucks to be checking out, or feeding in. My partner has had good luck with his in early season, but I have not had a good opportunity to try that.

They are a pain in the butt to carry out there, but it is pretty cool when a buck locks in on it.
