where you have them take finger nail polish and paint it on over them, that cuts off their oxygen supply and kills em very quickly

I don't even know if I know what a chiggar would look like if it bit me in the nose..........

I hear people complain about chiggars but can't say I've ever run accross one. LOL :D

most of the time you dont see them....they are TINY. Heck I'm not 100% sure I have even seen one, but I sure get eat up by them.

They basically bite ya, and you start to itch and scratch em away or wash em off in a hot shower....they dont Embed in you to be suffocated by nail polish, like most think. The nail polish justs prevents itching.

The bumps are small single red dots....they sort of look like a poison ivy outbreak but not in streaks or patches, but rather individual bumps such as mosquito bites.

They SUCK. I had over 100 on me last week. They usually ooze out some liquid if you scratch em open, and bleed if you get waay to into your scratching. They can drive ya crazy.

I would not be surprised ifI do not have over 200 to 300 bits on me right now. THey ate up my waistline and parts I would rather not have bitten as well as legs, my back, and my arms. They spared my head and the parts of my legs that were covered by snake boot.

i use cabelas bug skins suit in early season havent been bite yet.

You can still see marks on my feet from getting them at the ASA Classic. They will honestly drive you INSANE. The only time you could see them is if there are HUNDREDS of them. LOL!

I might trade chiggers for what I had bad the last time I went out: SEED TICKS!!!! Over 100 of them!!! They're horrid and the bites last longer than chiggers... hate 'em!!

Never seen a chiggar here in PA and hope not to ever be bitten by one. Sound like it really sucks.

You've never seen one because they are almost invisible to the naked eye. The only time you can really see them is when there is a ton on you.:D

If you have them that bad go to the doctor and get some stuff called chigger doom...it worked awesome for mine earlier this year.

Yo, I dont wanna jinx myself, but Longisland is FILLED with Ticks and CHiggers, and ive been using spray i bought in cabelas in the spring. its a Permethrin spray. its been working sooo far... fingers crossed.

I got a couple of them on me last year while cleaning a deer. Even after taking a long hot shower, I had the heebee jeebees all night. Kept thinking there were more crawling on me.My wife thought it was real funny watching me freak out all night. :D:D

There has been a bumper crop of chiggers and ticks this year. Heck I even got them in my yard this summer. I think we need to ship some East so you guys that don't have them can experiance em.

North and east, trust me there are plenty of them in the east. The seed ticks are bad around here too, I just havent run into a nest of them this year only in 5 or 10s at a time[&:]

Spray yourself down with permathin this stuff is potent. Says ur not supposed to spray on ur skin ur supposed to put it on ur clothes and wait 2 hours to put em on. Works like magic though. Havnt had a tick on me all year. But chiggers your bound to getsome on you anytime you step foot in the woods around me (south Jersey) lots of thick underbrush here.

A good shower will definitely remove the chiggars. After that, use a good anti-itch cream or hydocortizone. They are the most annoying thing in the woods after bad hunters. :eek:
