LoneWolf Lobo Bow.
Created by the LoneWolfer himself. What do you guys think of this bow? Would you buy it? I know the bow maker/designers son, he used to go to school with me but he graduated so i never got enough info on it.I've seen the bow on their show before, and I say, it does look pretty fast. The design on the cams look pretty sweet too. If Andrea can change the how we use treestands today, do you think his new bow will too? He's taken 4 B/C bucks with this bow. 1 being at the top of WI's list.

RE: LoneWolf Lobo Bow.
I heard it's specifically made to be used out of treestands.
[8D] :D:D Sorry, but that's true. Still cracks me up every time I think about it. Listen, I respect Andre for his accomplishments both in the industry and personally as a hunter -- especially as a hunter. And that leads me to saying this: he would have killed those deer with ANY bow, just like Jeff Hopkins would have won all those tournaments with ANY bow. Don't get caught up in who used what to do anything with. As they say... more times than not, it's the Injun behind the bow. ;) |
RE: LoneWolf Lobo Bow.
Very true about no matter who is behind the bow or any bow for that matter. But as sucessful as this guys is, I was just wondering where did you hear about this bow is used just for out of the stand? I talk to his son and im pretty sure all they do is bow hunt [in a tree stand.] Hense the name LoneWolf Treestands. Why would you not shoot a bow you created, (might i add that has the same details as the stands themselves) go along with the treestand? False information. I'd say.

Its a good thing their stand business turned out the way it did.

RE: LoneWolf Lobo Bow.
I designed the riser of the bow several years back. I dig the concept - but haven't actually shot it myself to give you the 4-1-1 on it. We basically designed the bow from the Darton Avalanche Extreme platform, and it's basically the Darton CPS cam system with some modifications to reduce torque as I've been told. Again, haven't shot it, so I don't really have any opinion other than that.
As far as the idea behind it, it was designed as a bowhunters bow, not a fancy camo paint job and a bunch of hype that really does nothing for the hunter in the field. It's a bare-bones, simple is king type bow. Some guys love that idea, others think it's "ugly". Like all things in the hunting industry, it is for some guys, not others I guess. |
RE: LoneWolf Lobo Bow.
I didn't say it couldn't be used anywhere except tree stands (nor did the gentleman I heard it from)... rather, he said it was created to "perform better" from treestands. Never mind... musta been one of those "you had to be there" moments... ;)

ORIGINAL: M.Magis If Andrea can change the how we use treestands today, do you think his new bow will too? I personally have heard some good things about the bow. Haven't shot one, though I would like to. As any manufacturer claims - it's supposed to be the lightest, fastest, quietest, most shock free bow on the planet - even the Aliens' laser beam bows can't beat it :D |
RE: LoneWolf Lobo Bow.
It's like all these ugly cars on the road........if you make ANYTHING, someone will buy it.
I'll keep my Commander! :D |
RE: LoneWolf Lobo Bow.
I'd like to shoot it. Does anyone know the price range?
|
RE: LoneWolf Lobo Bow.
The bow is going for $700-850. Andrae will only take orders through phone. He isnt trying to get the bows into stores yet because this is their first year actually finishing the product.

RE: LoneWolf Lobo Bow.
That bow was introduced at least a year ago. In fact it was introduced as a new bow in 2007.
It looks as if nothing has become of it. Nothing more than Darton cams attached to vertical limbs and a riser that simply looks like their treestand platforms. Unless they start designing something withsomesellability built into itI doubt anything will ever become of it. There is nothing there to attract the consumer to the bow or for the shop to use as a selling point. |
I have one and it's amazing. I love the bow. It's super quiet and has no vibration. It's also very fast. Best bow I have ever owned. And to the guy saying it's only meant to be shot out of a lonewolf, your crazy. I use it rabbit hunting, bowfishing and shooting birds with, not to mention a couple turkeys so i'd rethink your assumption.
