Home made camera arm
Does any one know how to make one of these cheap? I can not afford to go buy one right now, and since I am by myself 99% of the time, it is really hindering my video time. I should have had two awesome hunts on video already, but it didnt happen.
Thanks, Brent |

That's the one me and my buddy use...
Oneshot- you'll be hard pressed to be able to make one yourself for under $35 in materials. |
RE: Home made camera arm
diddnt someone post how to make a tripod using old carbon and aluminum arrows?? Or were you looking for a different system? I think you could modify their design if you can find the post..

RE: Home made camera arm
I have the gorilla, it is ok for a basic, and I mean basic camera arm. I am building my own, hopefully tomorrow. I want 3 arms, similar to pass thrus, but a different style base...still havent finalized just how I am going to design the base. 2 arm joints is better than 1 imo, especially for a lighter camera such as the GL2 where weight is a non issue.
Just the materials alone will be more expensive than gorillas finished product though, so I reccomend just getting it like others said. Aluminum aint cheap these days and steel rusts....I am going the alum route to cut weight. |
