Oh man that sucks. Well at least it was only a Hoyt. LOL. Sorry I had to.

I can't believe you guys are making fun of my HoytLOL. Good news I stuck another cable guard and rest on and the bow seems to be ok. I need a new sight, quiver, rest and string suppresser but other than that I think I got lucky. 250.00 is better than $1000 although it's still and expensive lesson.

OUCH that hurts but at least it isn't as bad as you first thought it was going to be. I have a 4 door extended cab so my bow is always in the back seat, but before I had this truck I had a regular cab and it was in the front with me

You have my sympathy ole buddy, knowing you- you have a backup bow but if you need one, give me a shout. I have a few laying around. Get a BowTech.... when you run over them , they tear your tire off and chew on it. Tough bows.

Man I have an admiral on the way and I love bowtech and all that... but comparing a bowtech to a Hoyt when it comes to toughness is like betting on a chicken in a fight with a fox. Hoyt makes one of the toughest, best built bows period.

I find it amazing that the riser isn't bent up like a crushed beer can.... they might weigh a little more.... but those risers are like crow bars.

Sorry to hear about the bow 5 shot... tough break.
I completely agree SC. Ive never had a bow tougher than my last hoyt. it got dropped from the tree a time or two, and everyother kind of abuse you could possibly imagine. they are virtually bulletproof.

btw 5shot, just to make you feel a litter better, sun. night, me and my buddy were coming home from hunting, and his stand was in the boat and it wasnt strapped together. it was a brand new summit climber and the bottom half flew out of the boat and we never found it. he was sick to say the least, that was like the 3rd time he had used it since he got it too.
you have my sympathy, if i broke my bow, i would cry like a little school girl. at least the bow overall is going to be ok

Sorry about your bow, that really stinks!

Wasn't there a thread earlier this year about whether to get a hardcase of softcase for your bow? Guess this is an instance where a hardcase would have helped out.
