Let me start out by saying that hunting is the smallest part of this blessing. That being said; I will begin. Two weeks ago my mother inlaw went to the doctor for some female problems. Long story short, a week later she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was scheduled for a hysterectomy 6 days later. With everything she was going to needhelp with after the surgery and insuing kemo; I figure hunting this year would take a back seat to what was really important. I would stay with the kids so my wife could go up there and help her mom. Today was the surgery. Everything went as planned with one minor error. No cancer. She had a tumor but the initial tests came back benign. The thing still needed to come out and they did the hysterectomy as planned. They removed a football sized tumor from her. We will know more when the final tests come back, but it looks like somebody up there is watching over us. Now I am doing all of the prep work that I would have done two weeks ago [ under normal circumstances] , and loving every minute of it. Not just because I can go hunting soon but, more for what it means to everyone involved. I am truely blessed tonight.

Yep family does come first and I have been through things like that myself but always seemed to fit some hunting in. Glad to hear the great news for her and you.

Same thing happened to my wife. Recovery was 6 weeks where she had to be cared for. God is GREAT! I know the roller coaster feelings y'all have gone through and you and yours are in our prayers for a speedy and full recovery.
