Default Rage Field Test: Mature Doe

Well the new back up bow (07 Tribute)struck paydirt last night. It was about 4 before i reached the AO Buck Ranch and started gettng dressed. The wind was outof the north west and it was a bout 65 out and a beatuiful day. I reached my stand site about 5. I was in a perfect funnel area on a oak ridge sandwiched between a field and a huge draw about 800 yards off a bean field. I noticed movement to the south and it was a do headed my way. She came from straight down wind and she was alert and knew somithing was up. After about 10 minutes of the head bob and then back to eating acorns she gave me the shot. 33 yards slightly quatering away. They say scentlok is a gimmick but my success since dawning the attire has increased 200%. Again she new something was afoot but she was not aware just how close I was.

The 2 Blade Rage attcahed to my Easton arrow flew from the Tribute and hot the mark. The shot was perfect up and down but a little far back. The arrow passed completely through and stuck into the base of the oak tree she was eating under. I gave her about two hours before tracking along with my Cousin. I did not think we would find her due to the small amount of blood we were finding. About 500 yards later we found her. All the Hype about the Rage appears to be true, huge entrance and flew perfect out to the 33 yard mark. I admit it was my error on the shot and for some reason I was as nervous as a cat, like it was a booner or something. After examing the deer during dressing the Rage hat clipped the liver and 1 lung.

The broadhead was salvaged and appears to be in good shape, replace the blades and back in the quiver.

Funny part was I missed the second Doe at the same distance.

Thank the Lord for a Wonderful evening and with another round of venison!

I have pice but it says they are too large any assitance and I can post them.
