Absolutly that might as well be a 200" deer. I tell you I have 90-100" bucks i killed in the mountains that mean much more than the 150+" deer I have killed just due to the effort I put in to get them. DOn't get me wrong booners are nice to get but the remote bucks you meed to really outsmart and hunt hard for mean allot

canuck33, you are so so right, i may never see this buck ever again, or i might see it tomorrow morning(our first day here in PA), but it is so hard to hunt these mountain bucks, the winds swirl around all day and there just isnt a specific bedding and feeding area, ive hunted these woods for over 35yrs now and these deer are in the area but just have so many feeding area and bedding areas etc...

Man he is a great looking buck. I think one of the hardest thing about hunting bucks in the mountians at least on our ADK club is that the deer #'s area allot lower and the area is much bigger and the buck especially the big guys will roam huge territories they are damn near impossible to pattern. I've found the only consitant way take big bucks you might know are in the area are to find a rut zone. I have a couple of locations on our camp land (1600+ ac.) where the bucks consistantly year to year like to rut and chase doe's. I always have good luck in these areas or on trails leading to these areas during mid to late november when the Northern rut seems to kick in.
