I agree that he is one hard deer to pass up, but I also agree that he is still young. You must have some real good genetics in your area. Looking at the body alone he looks like he may be 2.5. It's hard to believe with a rack like that, but he is no older than 3.5. Can you imagine him at 5.5?

We initially said we would let him walk. We have plenty of nice deer on our properties this year. We'll see how it goes. He would be super nice next year I agree.

No way I'd pass on that one. There's many things that could happen to that deer in 1 year.

Middle of the day picture was taken on 9-17-08. That was right around the full moon which was the 15th if I remember. Take note of that! Good luck and I hope you take him! He's a dandy!

i'd say with his paunch belly in September, he is atleast 4 1/2 years old.
