Earlier in the year I was shopping around for a DXT and got a price of around $660 from a dealer in Cherryville, NC. If you go to the Mathews site you can see them listed under the dealers section. We did not buy from them but they were the cheapest around here.

I shot a DXT right after LKNHUNTRESS got hers. The dealer set it up and tried to convince me to buy it. While I liked the bow it really didn't seem any smoother or faster than my Black Ice, so I didn't buy it. If I didn't have a descent bow already I would definitely buy one.

Michigan WT, no Doe Down for lknhuntress yet, we had a few come by while I was running video of her but they didn't come within 60 yards, her comfort range is 25 yards or under. I recorded a doe kill on video this past Tuesday, video came out dark because it was early in the am and overcast, but it still came out good.

LKN...I too have beenready to try the DXT. I like short Bows...I love Hoyt..I have the Havoctec (2003)...but I think in 09 I will try the DXT or similar...I disliked my Matthews 32 I had in 2002 because it ate strings...but I see me in a DXT next year...

Great job on bringing LKNhuntress into the world of hunting. You did a nice job on your turkey video..I think you had dad in their too?..I remember that vid...well done...Have a good season!

Here in Michigan, the DXT is definitely priced $800+. Mathews has the $859, so I would be interested in knowing where I can get one for $600?

Yeah Im actually saving for a new bow to buy after this season and if Mathews doesnt come out with a better one, Ill probably be looking in the direction of the DXT.

It is by far the best bow out there. I'm not trying to down grade any other bows but this bow is top notch.

What about speed and KE. Are you using one Pin at 20? 30? Etc.
i set mine up with a black gold 4 pin, set from 20 to 50 yards. as for speed, i'm shooting a 27 1/2 draw length, maxed out draw weight at 73#, 400 grain victory v force arrows, and mine clocks at 286. i'd like to get closer to 300, but with my shorter draw length thats not likely to happen unless i go to a lighter arrow, which i don't want to do. a heavier arrow stays on track better in wind, makes your bow quieter, hits harder and creates more KE. or so i'm told, i'm not an expert. i don't know what kind of KE i'm getting, can anyone tell me around how much KE i should have with this setup?
I just figured it for you and you are getting 74.16 PPSI with that set up. If I remember right I think any north American animal should be able to be taken with 50 or 60 PPSI so you are good to go

thanks i appreciate it. i had heard you have to have a certain amount of KE to make mechanicals open correctly, but with that much thats probably more than enough. thanks again.

Nice bow but way too short for my tastes.

I just ordered one out of Anchorage for $825. Sounds like I should have had one of you guys pick one up and ship it for me if you're getting them for less than $700!
