For those that lease property
Who leases and how much does it cost y'all?
The questions are assuming that there is plenty of room for each hunter. And for just general reply - how big is the lease? And how often do you have access to the land, etc? |
RE: For those that lease property
I am lucky to know a guy who owns property in west texas. His father died and i help him on the land. In fact im the only one who helps him on it after his dad died. So he has told me im his hunting buddy now.
We have hunted there 3 years now. This year is already on it's way. But when i do lease it cost about $300 - $600 since i cant afford to pay the higher end prices. However the guy i hunt with anywhere around him for lease is $1500 and up for lease. There is also property for sell anywheres from $600 and up and acre. If you cant afford to pay these prices, try public land hinting and national forests. it is not as bad as some of the horror stories you hear about. Check them out and explore the areas to find the least crowded spots. There plenty or acres to hunt. |

Too poor to lease. I still do it the old fashion way.

RE: For those that lease property
Me, my dad, and two cousins lease a piece of property that is approx. 600 acres and we pay $500.00 each. We can hunt deer, turkey, and fish the many farm ponds on the property. We have access to the property whenever we want. I live in Oklahoma, so I don't know if the property is more or less expensive to lease elsewhere.
