I was out yesterday afternoon and all was good andquiet til about 5pm when I heard the dreaded ringing of theever annoyingdeuce deuce. I thought, oh well, at least it's just one guy and a couple shots. WRONG!!! This idiosus maximus let off at least 40 shots in the next hour. Holy crap, I don't ever remember the bag limit on squirrels being that much.

Worse yet, he kept coming my way. Well, here's where ASAT comes into play. The guy ended up 6 count'em 6 yards from my tree and was standing there looking around. I was already stood up 'cause I heard him coming and thought it might be a deer he kicked up. Yea, so he's 6yds and I'm 15ft up in a tree with nothing in between us. He stood there scanning the forest floor and even looking up into the trees. Twice while scanning he looked right at me for a split second but obviously didn't see me.

I started to get pissed 'cause I thought there was no way he couldn't have noticed me. A whole 2min went by and I finally decide to let him know that he would've been a dead deer. I cleared my throat and it freaked him out! Man it was funny!

Can your camo do this? LOL

Hoytail, I have more stories while wearing ASAT than I have time or finger strength to share. It's a shame I have no respect for the owner of the company and will never buy another ASAT product as long as he's the owner. If ASAT ever changes hands, well.;) The pattern is unbelievably good and effect, the company is unbelievably well,[:'(].

Had several encounters like that over the last two years with mine (although only one was another hunter). I shot my spring gobbler this year at about 8yds after he came in and past me at about 5yds[8D]

thats nothin! i had 2 kids come down the hill towards me ...they were eye level at about 50yds out an made their way CLEAR directly under me....i was target shooting from my stand and was in casual clothes!!! thought about scaring them....spitting...or something else but figured id let them go home and never know i was there....dont ask how they never seen me.....

I thought about scaring the guy too but as a joke. I was gonna make like I had my bow drawn then do a mouth bleat like when you're stopping deer. And as soon as he looked at me I would make like I'm releasing an arrow at the same time make another sound to mimic arrow flight/impact... fffffTHUMP. Then immediately tell him in a joking way that he would've been a dead deer.

But then it crossed my mind that he might not take too kindly to that considering knuckleheads who let 40 rounds fly yet have no squirrel to show for it probably don't have a good sense of humor. :D
