Default Tomorrow's Wind forecast

6AM - ENE 4
8AM - E 4
10AM - SE 4
12PM - S5
2PM - SW 5
4PM - SW 4
6PM - W 3
7PM - WNW 2

Is this enough wind to even worry about? Where would you hunt?

Stand sites were picked a long time ago. I have a climber and can go anywhere.

Furthest right pushpin in the AM.....move to the 2nd to furthest right pushpin for the evening.

Thermals should still be considered. That being said, up high in the morning and down low in the evening.

If all else fails punt and pick the one with the most acorns dropping on a favorable wind.

Unless you had your heart set on something else I bet a sit in the tree Rob was in last with your longbow would be a decent bet for the AM given those winds.

OUCH! Rough morning.

The higher ground you can get on the better. But I know thats not always possible.

I hate light winds less than 7 mph. That's when wind gets VERY tricky. Especially with overcast skies which cause thermals to not shoot up very well.

If it were me.. I would just hunt with the right wind conditions. Pick the stand that you think will put you out of harms way. That's all you can do in this situation. If you chance a sit where you think a buck will move by.. you (the hunter) usually regrets it. Swirling winds in the morning are never fun.

It's a long season.. the winds will come from the desired direction eventually.

Hunt where least amount of problems can occur that will affect your buck hunting later.

Is that the one he almost fell out of while performing his demonstration?[8D]....Sorry Rob.
