Anti Group Writes Letters to Local Papers
And the smalltown papers here are publishing them! Have you heard of CASH? See web site below. :eek:Can you say nut-jobs?
http://www.all-creatures.org/cash/ The letter I read went into detail about how the number of Minnesota deer hunters are declining so rapidly, that the sport will be extinct within the next three generations. And that our DNR should abolish hunting and instead focus on camping, hiking and wildlife watching. I've said it before and I'll say it again, thank God for reason, vocal hunters and organizations - and the fact that hunting generates too much money for our Legislators to ever end it. |

You are familiar with those in your neck of the woods, right, Rem Girl? We are only a few steps behind you if we don't watch ourselves.

I've never heard of them and don't hear much in my neck of the woods. I don't think so. People just get on with things here. As I say its a free country and i'll hunt if I like. It also helps to live in a semi rural community where it is more acceptable but of course there are a few radicals.

I take it your hunting laws are a bit more liberal than your neighbors the the south, then. I believe the British laws are quite strict and, in some cases, overbearing.

England and Scotland are different countries like Canada and the US so yes it is different here. You can hunt more in Scotland than you can in England and most of the English come up here to hunt because of that. I can hunt across my whole state and no one will do anything. I can also take as many deer as I want and other game animals. Some game are open season too.
There is no hunting permits or tags here so yes I suppose you could say we are "liberal" There is alot more land and variety here, different terrain. The Highlands is probably the best place to hunt especially for red stag. But you could never pay me to move to England ;) |

Yep, they keep coming after us. So, go ahead guys, keep bashing and/or failing to support other hunting styles that you don't like. But then again, some folks are so selfish that the world can go to hell in the future as long as they get their big buck this year.
