I have dragged more deer out in the dark than I care to remember. Heck, it's taken me until 9 or 10 PM to find a couple.[&:] I call home and tell them I'll be late and then start dragging, after I've gutted of course. On a couple rare occasions I boned the deer out in the woods and back packed it.

Real simple, gut him, drag him, cut it up and wrap it and go to bed. If you dont have time after the hunt then you shouldnt be out there in the first place. Or at least if you are out there you should have no intention of shooting

Sure I'll answer that question...but first, my own question...WHY ARE WE YELLING!??!?

I'd field dress it, take it home, skin it, debone the meat, put the meat on ice, and package it up in a couple of days after sitting on ice. Or you could take it straight to your processor.
That is all....
