good peep size
 

what is a good size peep sight? i know there are many different sizes and i was wondering what size would be the to see just one pin instead of all the pins...i can see all the pins with mine and it seems to screw me up sometimes thanks

I use G5 meta peep 3/16" for 29" draw and it perfect encompasses the sight ring. Makes everything look good.

You need to make sure it jives with your sight pin ring. 3/16 is fine.....if it matches up with your sight pin ring. I use a 1/4".....to allow more light in.

Have your shop put in a couple....til you have the right one. Think about low light capabilities.

Huntinma I believe what Nissan is saying is he can see hiw whole sight housing as well as all the pins, not sure?? But I believe so!

If you want a pin just for hunting, you have to be very careful with small peeps because in low light conditions, I have always found it harder to see through! I used to always drill mine out when they aggravated me enough! The only thing I can say is when I shot a smaller peep with smaller pins I shot better at dots and 3d and such, but for hunting I would never think of getting anything small! The bigger the better in my eyes!(Preferred same size as site housing)

Good Luck any of your local archery shops should have all different size peeps to fit your need though!!

1/4" need the bigger size for low light - still plenty of precision for hunting.

I agree with the 1/4 inch. I shot my first 3-D tourn. last weekend, and had a real hard time with a smaller peep because I couldn't tell where on the target I was aiming. As soon as it was over, I had a 1/4 peep put in so I could see my whole sight ring.

one thing that might help with the smaller peeps is trying to shoot with both eyes open. personally I like the smaller sights and peeps, I have a 3/16 peep and use the Matrix .019 sights
