Ohio Bow Opener
i am pumped for this weekend especially since i will be going home from college this weekend so i can hunt. hopefully i can get a shot at that big ole 8 pt that's been walking around my woods. i hope the rest of you that will be hunting this weekend are ready. have a safe and successful hunt guys

Yep our season opens this weekend too i can't wait did some more scouting today to put up two more feeders tomorow. Good luck! I'll post pics and a report if i have any luck that is well either way.

<----PA OCTOBER 4th YAY cant wait. Got a nice deer Ive been seeing around the creek bed I like to hunt. Hes only an 8pointer but hes got a 24" spread at least.

im from henry county in NW ohio. going to OSU just moved in this past weekend and am going home cause that is where i have the deer patterened. my neighbor's dad lives near mount vernon so i might make it over there to hunt some weekend as well since it is only an hour away from campus

Actually last year it was down. My buddy's son who's 12 shot his first bow buck though, a nice little 4 point. No word yet on this year.

I have everything packed and ready to go since I live outside of Youngstown and my main hunting area is on the border of Licking and Delaware county. I have a nice new peice of property this year I can not wait to get in there Saturday evening. Saturday morning I will be hunting the regular spot and I will crack a doe as soon as she peaks her little head down the trail. I was shooting my bow tonight for the last time and the next time I draw back I WILL CRUSH something. Can not wait brother...........

Wish i was joining you fellers in Ohio saturday, I shore enjoy hunting up there. I reckon i will have to wait until the gun season to head up there. I hunt in Carrol and Jefferson counties.Long trip for me but worth it.

yea im fired up too about this weekned. i gotta make the trip to my aunt and uncles place in vinton county. me and my cousin hoping to lay the smack down opening morning. from our trail cams the hunting is looking good!!! good luck boyz lets put THE OHIO STATE on the map this year!

Hung a new stand tonight in a woods I have never stepped foot in...I went there after work, asked permission and came back an hour later with the stand....I was in the woods five minutes and spooked a solid eight point, while sitting there kneeling next to a tree looking for the right place to settle, a second smaller six point entered the woods no more than 35 yards away...and I said to myself...yep...this is a good spot...bring on Saturday!!!

Looks like I'll make the opener afterall!!!! I had surgery back on Labor Day to remove my Gall bladder, and I'm still not 100%, but that's ok, because I'm gonna get out there anyway. Not gonna be using my trusty climber though, but I may be able to get up in a tree with it next weekend if things keep going well.
Saturday morning, I'm taking a brand new bowhunter into one of my favorite spots with hopes that he can score a doe, and maybe I can bust one too. GOOD LUCK to everyone!!!  |

hey guys dont listen to any of this there are nothiung but small deer in knox county. ssshhhhh. but it should be a great year but what year isnt when your out with a stick and string
