That freaking sucks. I would feel terible if I hit a deer like that but sometimes things don't always goes as planned.

That's so sad. If I were the shooter I'd be SICK. Luckily, the buck is out of his misery. The hunter, on the other hand, will have to deal with the unknown for a very long time.[&o]

That sucks. You can only hope it was an accident and not done on purpose. Only one person knows that answer, and he is probably wondering where his buck is,

Although I would never shoot one there with an arrow, it looks like it would be a good shot, jugular and all, but I guess I am wrong.

That looks a bit familiar to me. We found one last year on our property that was shot with a similar arrow, short carbon, and the shot was bad just like that, only the buck we found was shot in the back almost a level ground shot...wonder if theres some poaching going around in our areas. Ill see if i can find that arrow and see how it compares to the one in your pics. We may be on the heels of a poaching ring.
