RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
I would go with easton axis FMJ Aluminum shaft with carbon core. And as I said ive shot some things i wasnt suppose to, and the arrows are still straight.

I am Lokking at around 400 grains with the lightest arrow. So the outer alloy wont bend like the older aluminum shafts would |

RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
Speaking from expirience, even if you bend it by force like a light weight fishing pole with a big catfish on it..as long as it doesn't crease..it'll pop back and retain it's straightness.
I wouldn't have believed it either...cept I did it. To this day I can'ttell youwhich of the half dozen it was. They all fly perfectly! |

RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
Well man a got them at my local archery shop for $100 for the easton FMJ
and $2.50per/arrow with NAP quikspin fletchings. They fly awesomely. |
RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
Hmmm I got them through Cabelas I don't know what they retailed for. I got them free with my points.Digging out my book....with Blazers $65 a half dozen.
|
RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
Blazers are to tall for me..I like a shorter profile. I shoot the 3" AAE vanes. All personal preference, many swear by Blazers.

RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
If I were you.....I'd take advantage of the speed of that bow and shoot something like a 3-71 a/c/c. You've got a TON of potential KE.
|
RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
What kind of bow do you shoot. I shoot a bowtech commander 71lbs draw 29" DL 77.36pound of kinetic energy And ive even gone to shoot my buddies arrows which are 10.7grains per inch @28" and are easton axis carbons. and they shoot around 298fps.
|
RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
My bow shoots fine and I get pass through I appreciate your suggestion. But I like my easton axis FMJs
|
RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?

RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
Well you have a bow that at 70# draw can shoot 330fps easily. Now its just getting an arrow that meets your needs and will still make you happy..And thats why if your a strict hunter the EASTON AXIS FMJs are tough arrow thats weighs less then my easton AXIS carbons. like .5 grains per inch..Doesnt seem like much but only 28 inches that 14 grains. Equals 7FPS. So thats just my quick calculation. But the 82nd is an amazing bow I have one as my target bow. And im using Easton Axis Aluminums and this bow is fast.

RE: I was wondering what arrrows to get?
LOL nah its kool.. Um in my experience and please this is just what I have observed. Everything 2 grains is 1 FPS loss. And my commander is set at 71# and shoots 298FPS with my easton axis CARBON slim tech with a 125gr field tip 2" Quik spin and wrap cut to 28". I would shoot whats comfortable to you. Like I said if your strict hunter. A tougher arrows is probably better AXIS FMJ/Carbon Maximas

[quote]ORIGINAL: Mallardkiller ORIGINAL: nissan300ztt I think someone said on here that P&Y minimum is 400 grains. I wouldn't want to be sitting there with a 375 grain arrow when a record book whitetail walks out in front of me.. |
