This bought a tear to my eye, cause I am going though that now. Saturday is opening day for bow season for Texas and my dad ( my best friend) is dying at this moment. I will be lucky if he lives to this weekend,,,,,, so it will be a very hard way to start the season, if I do.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. The woods can be some wonderful therapy. I lost my grandfather last year just before Christmas, and while I hunted the last part of the season I thought of him the entire time.

Go get that buck for your friend.

Words are tough to say to make someone feel better In this situation your In right now. The woods Is a good place to get some healing In. Say a prayer every time your out there, In time It should get better possibly. I'm going to hate the day that I can't hunt with my dad! I get a lump In my throat just thinking about It. I'd rather go 1st then have him go before me, he's my best hunting buddy and best friend.
