so I don't think he will leave there, too many Does to keep his attention[:'(]
Solo:

"Too many does" and a buck staying in that area don't jive. Trust me.;)

He may be "wandering" there.....but if its thick with does....he won't be spending the majority of his time, there.
I hope your right GMMAT....I just don't see ant reason for him to wander away from there, he's got the Does, cover, food sources close by, water, and zero human pressure. I am sure during the rut a Doemay lead him to who knows where, but this area is 5 miles outside of my hometown of 120,000. So there's not a whole lot of wooded areas....well see, again, I hope your right.

Solo....

It took me a couple years of hard headed-ness to realize what a lot of guys were telling me was true. I hunted for bucks....by hunting the does. I was mildly successful at it.....BUT....does only tolerate bucks during a few special weeks of the year. the rest of the time....they're in direct competition for food......AND....bucks are more solitude in nature. They typically won't frequent the same spots, trails, etc... that a LOT of does frequent. It's against their survival instincts.

I've got some spots that I doe hunt on......and I'm trying to find the trails the bucks are using. I DIDN'T find that, last night....although it worked out as far as my doe harvest goals go.

I'm planning on having plenty of sits where I don't see does. I'm hoping the sign is there.....the "they should be here" is correct....and I HUNT one of these guys....instead of just passively taking what the woods gives me.

That's my plan.....this year. So far? LOL......:D

That's a great looking buck. Hopefully he ventures back to where you can hunt him and you can get one final picture of him with you sitting behind him.

Good luck.
