I want to shoot the iceman. Single cam center pivot. I think that will be a very good hunting bow.

Knowing what I know about the new center pivot design and how quiet and recoil free this thing is combined with speeds in the 320's?...........I don't see how this one isn't going to be the single cam bow to beat for 2009.

Single cam fans are gonna freak out when they shoot it. Trust me, I just had my hands on one 2 weeks ago. The thing is sick.[:-]

I was just discussing the idea with the fiance....[:o]of dropping $830..... who says I "have" to get married in August? J/K but it's gonna be hard not to go in debt for that, Im planning on selling my old 1969 Chevy pickup here in the near future.... I need to keep a little of the money(and buy a new bow)to ease the pain right?LOL I hate my addiction in correspondence to my income.

So Matt, Rob, whoever willing to talk, No modules? Thats pretty sweet, but you know the one of the first questions... Limbs, did they do something different? Can you say? Im just curious. When will they be in shops available to shoot?

I love my 2007 Guardian... but after seeing this lineup, I can't help but want to try out a couple of these bows. For some reason I am really liking the Iceman by Diamond.

Looks I might end up selling my old PSE to get some money towards another bow. I want to be like Greg and Matt... and have multiple options to take into the woods. ;)

What do you think? ;)

I saw some of the raw undipped blanks and they are epoxy coated and have something else going on with the limb back but I don't know the technical aspects of it just yet.
The limb tips are reinforced with a thick aluminum "U" shaped fitting over the top and sides of the limbs that is drilled through after fitting for precision and will add even more vertical strength to the limb ends.

The axle system is also a precision bolt through system with no e-clips or need for spacers or washers like every conventional axle system on the market.....which will quiet the ends down and further reduce lateral instability while improving the overall tolerances.
Its a really slick set up.

The limb bolts are also incredibly long and will allow you to completely relax and work on the bow without the need for a bow press.........I cannot stress enough that this design is easily the hardest bow to press correctly even with the limb improvements, older improper style presses can hammer this style bow.
I doubt I will ever put my new center pivots in a press, its too easy to do it wrong.

Matt/Pa....whatare the weights like? any lighter than the 08's(guardian/general)? don't have to be numbers, just what you felt.

The Admiral's mass weight is down from the Generals.

The Iceman andStud look nice but it looks like I will just stick with my Black Ice. Heck, I just bought it in February of this year, lol.

I will be honest. I feel much the same. I love my 2008 Black Ice. I even added a nice little string suppressor to the bottom of it much like the 2009 model is now equipped. The bow is incredible to shoot. I greatly look forward to comparing the Ice Man to it. The Ice Man is going to have to be one heck of a bow to make me want to give up the Black Ice.

I have my eye on the Sentinel. Looks and sounds pretty sharp. Can't wait to hear all the details. Is it me or have the prices went up on bare bows from last year?

Same here. My BI is shooting great but I think I have a man crush on the Iceman. If I didn't purchase the BI 6 months ago, there would probably be an Iceman in my near future.

Our buddy Pat (Bowtech_Shooter) has officially killed the first Mule Deer in the country with a Bowtech Admiral this AM.
Must be nice. :D

Got a call a little while ago. Congrats Pat!
Pretty long shot from what I understand but never fear, you don't want that guy shooting at you at ANY range. [:-]

That's pretty cool. I wouldn't have minded just taking a mule deer today (as opposed to being stuck at work) let alone being able to do it with a bow that has not even hit retailers yet[8D]

No thanks. Had a General that was sent back twice, once before the recall and once after and had too many issues. I purchased a quiver online right before I returned the bow and I have called Bowtech 11 times to see how I can return it but nobody has ever answered the phone. My emails do not get answered either. The retailer that I bought the bow from gave me story after story of the same thing.I was very close to buying a tomcat for my son but one thing that Bowtech needs to realize is that with the parity in high end bows, for most people, service is the selling point. It appears that all of their efforts go into technology and next to nothing into building an infrastructure that will be able to take them deep into the future. Unless they figure this out soon, they will fall as quickly as they rose.

They can come out with a thousand more models, they still will never beat Mathews. Isn't there a model for 2009 called the "CRACKED LIMB"? oh wait that was a 2008 model

Mathews............ "CATCH US IF YOU CAN"

Do you have superiority complex problems? :D You are arguing over inanimate objects that only shoot as well as the guy behind the string....

If anything needs beat, itwould bea little common sense into your skull ;)

Define beat for me in the context that you used it in.... Recoil, noise, speed, etc, etc???

I seriously can't wait til I get teh go ahead to REALLy discuss these bows with you guys.
There are features and details that you just aren't going to see or notice in a single picture. :D

They are EXTREMELY well thought out.

Did they think them out enough to offer extended draw lengths??? Say a 32in draw perhaps? I sure hope so because they look sweet!
