OH MY GOD, IT WAS HILARIOUS. Freakin hair everywhere! I washed every cut of meat in the shop sink. The hide ended up coming off in rags.
I've got deer in the past with a gun, but I've always brought it directly to the butcher. Figured as I am taking the hard way to make the kill by using a bow, I might as well take the hard way to butcher it too. [&:]

Yeah when I cut mine up I usually cut the legs with a saw at the joint and don't leave the whole legs attached and the hide comes off in one big piece!

Congrats on your first deer....LOL at the story, I can almost picture what you two looked liked duringthe first encounter, in the tall grass,like that "Wack-A-Mole" game at Chucky Cheese's.
