RE: gettin the deer to stop

Just say this in your best billy goat voice.... Matt

Until last season I had never used a mouth bleat/grunt to stop a deer, and I had made a bad shot one time trying to shoot a walking deer even though it was close and told myself if that ever happened again I would try to stop him. Sooo last season it happened the buck walked broadside and stopped but a branch was in the way and I needed him to take ONE more step and if he took 3 I wouldn't have a shot. So I tried it, he started to walk and I went MMaatt, he stopped....one step and I made a perfect shot.

if they are close enough 15 yards or less I just shoot them as they walk fortunatly I have never had one farther then 10 yards that was walking. If it were I would use my voice to gurnt

I don't do a thing. I'll shoot It on a walk. I think you alert them too much by making a noise.
