My gun season is Nov. 8-9 and it effects me in two ways. One, it annoys the piss out of me when I am out there trying to enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature, that I usually enjoy during bowseason only to be continuously interrupted by gunfire. Two it puts the deer into lockdown because of the massive influx of hunters into the woods which also annoys the piss out of me...:eek:

You gotta love rifle season, driving out to your spot in the morning and listening to "Da Turdy Point Buck"

Rifle opener should be a holiday.

In Nebraska, the bow season starts Sept 15th til Nov 14th , then its a 9 day rifle season, back to bow til the end of the year. Muzzleloader is late but I don't do that so I'm not sure of those dates. Even though I prefer bow, I still love to get out and shoot the rifle. Sighting in and hunting. So it is kinda nice to take that quick break from the bow.

Bowhunting is definitely my favorite. But ever gun season he get together with a bunch of buddies and knock down some deer. Only shotgun here in Ohio.

here in GA our bow season starts around mid september, then rifle season opens mid october and runs all the way to the first couple weeks of january. you can bow hunt all season long if you want, but i wouldn't advise bowhunting on opening week of gun season. every tom, dick and harry and their brother are out stomping through the woods with a rifle. that being said, it doesn't affect me that bad because i'm lucky enough to have close to a thousand acres of private land and i love rifle hunting. this is my first year bowhunting but already i can see it becoming my next big obsession :D
