My new $200 rolling deer camp

What a swingin' deal. I saw this camper listed on craigslist for $700. I'm the only person that went and looked at it in 1 1/2 months. I need a camper for my new east Tx deer camp so I figured I might as well look. I sure can't afford a new one. When I got there I was pleasantly surprised by the overall condition. The canvas however has seen better days. This is a 1976 year model camper. There were some patches and tears in the canvas. I mentioned this a few times in preparation for price negotiations. When I got to a stuck zipper I had trouble opening, the owners daughter asked me if I would pay $200. I wasted no time with an affirmative response. Sleeps 6,(really good friends:eek:), has WORKING 3 burner stove, gas furnace, microwave, electric fridge. There is no rot, mold, or mildew. There is also an outdoor shower/potty enclosure with a portapot. This was a deal I couldn't pass on. I bought a couple of tarps to hang over the slide outs just in case and I have some really good patch tape for the tears. I have MAD negotiating skills lol!

That is a hell of a deal man. You have to jump on those deals when they come by, I know they come around that often for me. Good looking setup.

txjourneyman - I noticed that was an Escape you have that pop-up hooked up too. I'm just curious if that is the 4 cylinder or V6 model and how well it handled towing and braking with it? The Mrs. has a 08 Tribute w/the 4 cyl and I just wanted some feedback as I have plans in the future of picking up a pop-up like that for camping and using her car to tow it.

Thanks!

+1, now pick up a couple used tires and one for a spare, and you'll be rolling. Might "Raid Bomb" it before use, but that's quite a deal.

heh.. if you buy new tires, it will cost more than you paid for it!! awseme pick up for 200.00 bro! you woulda spend 100$ a night at a motel, so figure 3 nights in that thing, and it paid itself off!!

nice i would never ask some if they would pay less then half my asking you let the buyer make an offer then counter. god some little girls needs to learn selling 101.
Great find there though. I had a guy selling a boat said he wanted 800 but if i did not want to pay 800 he would take 600, i laughed and said so your take 600
