1- Acorn 2- Soybean 3- Corn 4- Wheat |
RE: In what order...
I think it really depends on the time of year..

RE: In what order...
depending on time of year obviously, but all offered up at once...i think you already have the order pegged.;) I dont have much experience with wheat though.
I know when certain acorn trees are dropping, there could be wolves patroling it and those deer will still find a way to get to them acorns. and soybeans seem to be preferred to corn during the summertime. but late season once most foods cease to exist, a standing corn field can be a gold mine. All about timing of when you hit each of the sources. |
RE: In what order...
Acorn is definitely the clear cut favorite when they're dropping. Deer will abandon all other food sources at the opportunity at the nutrient rich, tasty acorns. As far as the rest go, you've got them nailed in overall preference, but like has been said, time of year will be a big factor.

RE: In what order...
I believe corn is preferred over soy bean because it offers concealment as well as food so :
acorn corn bean never seen a deer eating wheat |

I can't bait but to pull stuff in front of the trail cam I like to drop a 5 gallon bucket of apples. I don't know why but my deer would not eat whole shell corn on a bet. It sprouts long before it get touched at all.
However when the white oaks are dropping it's like candy bowl heaven. |
