heavy duty deer bag

i ordered a cabelas super mag game hauler.
It came with a extra heavy duty deer bag 40"72".
Do any of you guys use the bag. Not sure why to use it. Is the point to keep dirt and brush out of the deer when you gut and drag or haul out.
Are they reuseable or one time use only. if there reuseable how do you clean them.

RE: heavy duty deer bag

It's just to keep bugs and debri out of the cavity if it's gutted. I would assume you can just wash and reuse.

Game bags are actually for those of us that quarter and or bone our game in the field to keep flies and dirt off the meat (or I guess if you skinned it in the field [&:] ?). The game bag allows the meat to drain while letting air circulate around it (if properly hung) so that it doesn't spoil for extended periods in the field (dependent on humidity and temp.). If you're bringing your game out field dressed or whole, there is no need for a game bag. To reuse it just wash it out with bleach as you would any load of whites. I've got some that have seen 5 or more seasons of use.
