RE: Dumb math ??
correct. seriously can you not do the math ? its pretty basic or did you just want to make sure you had it right
|
RE: Dumb math ??
if 364 is total arrow weight...you need to first subtract all accesories...insert, nock, bh, veins, wrap, anything on there besides shaft. then use your computer calculator ( or google) to divide the new weight by 24.25. this will give you gpi, grains/inch.
So if it is 364-100 BH-9 nock-13 insert-18 blazers=224 shaft weight 224/24.25= 9.237 gpi. pretty average. but this is just an example, your weights could easily vary. |
RE: Dumb math ??
That's 364 finished right?
|
RE: Dumb math ??
there are very few shafts available at >15 gpi....that is crazy heavy for a bare shaft. FMJs are pretty heavy shafts, and they are only 11.3 gpi.

Please don't take this too personal, but have you ever watched that show "Smarter Than a Fifth Grader"? I think they learn basic division in the third grade these days. At least you were smart enough to use one of your "cheats".
