I hear so many Hunters piss and moan about not being able to shoot big deer,then will go out and shoot every thing with a horn.Most deer will live after they make thru the first year of life.How do you think they have so many bigger deer on the farms that are managed for the high dollar hunts.I hunt in VA and NC and feel we could have a lot of 110-130 deer if we would let them walk for 2-3 years.We could kill the same number of deer but they would just be older and bigger,but the only way for this to happen is to have total control over large acres of land,1000 acres +.So many people manage money the same way,place it in the market for short periods of time and when the market drops 300+ points in a day they sell.Most rich get rich by playing the long term.The longer a buck lives the bigger the dividends it will pay.

I shoot for the freezer and for some quiet time in the woods, if it's big enough to be worth tying to the deer cart it goes down. BTW way antler worshippers, there's a hell of a lot more of usthan there are of you, so "deer management" is a waste of your time unless you're behind a very tall fence.
