Quiver... On or Off?

Arethere any advantages/disadvantages if you shoot with a quiver full of arrows attached to the bow?

Pro-
Faster access to follow up shots.

Con-
adds bulk and weight to bow.

I use a Alpine Soft Loc 3 arrow quiver Its light and compact... doesnt bother me much at all. I hunt with mine on...

Just make sure to practice with your quiver on before you hunt with it on. Or Vis-versa.

My quiver NEVER actually goes on my bow even though I have the bracket to hold it, just in case. I put my quiver in my pack and carry it to the stand that way.

My quiver has probably not been on my bow for more than 30 min since I bought it 9 months ago.

I will walk to the stand with it on the bow but then it will come off and hung up. I hate shooting with it on. Its cause too much more vibration and noise for me.

I actually LOVE shooting with my Octane 2 piece on my bow. I find it adds allot of stability.

Right... I also hunt with mine on but the little extra weight doesn't bother me.. I practice with it on much of the time as well...

It's hooked to bow until I pull bow up and get settled in, then it get's hung up. I don't practice with it on so I am not going to leave it on when I'm on the stand. Do as you practice.

I do the same. I found that shooting with the quiver on my bow caused a bit of vibration/noise. Also, if I have to move my bow in my stand, a quiver full of arrows is just one more thing that can get caught on something or spotted by the deer.

I practice with my quiver on, and hunt with my quiver on. I don't really know why....I guess it just feels natural to have my arrows right there. I use a Alpine Soft Lok 5 arrow quiver.
