We had a GREAT time.....but no one scored a deer. Actually...a couple of does were shot, last night (by friends of the outfitter), but all of us were buck hunting. Andy saw a nice one yesterday morning....but I sat in that heat for 8.5 hours .....seeing a lone spike at 7:20PM, yesterday.

Still.....like I said....we had a great time. Andy has some wonderful friends....and I've been invited to MD to hunt December. I'm gonna go.

Just goes to show, hunting camp is more than just about killing something and I'm glad you had a great time. Andy's a great guy and I'm sure the stories flew throughout.

Also goes to show that although some people condemn outfitters, it's never a guarantee and it's still hunting. Sometimes hunting hard.

We had a great time all in all. It was my first whitetail hunt with an outfitter. Things just didnt work out for us we saw very little deer activity and movement unfortunately. I had a real niceP&Y buck at 90 yards, but never came in close enough to offer a shot, after that I saw a few Does a few minutes later and after 7:30AM I never saw another deer the whole day. It was HOT!!! Real HOT!! Our thermometer said 99 degs, a little to warm for me but since we went down there to hunt we all never thought twice about it. Not sure if the heat and the full moon played any role in early season deer movement but it was just one of those things unfortunately. Was good hanging out with Jeff again, tellin stories over beers, grilled chckenand just relaxing and having a few dips [8D]


Oh, and Jeff, I have your 5 Rage practice tips and some orange string or something, didnt really look at what it was. I'll get them in the mail after I come out of the woods tomorrow morning.
