what about making your own? PREVIOUSLY POSTED

Scent Control Formula

2 Bottles of hydrogen peroxide 16oz
32 oz of distilled water
¼ cup baking soda
1 oz sportsman’s wash laundry detergent or any unscented detergent
(option) You can use ½ oz hunter soap earth scent. If you use the earth scent soap, cut the laundry detergent to 1/2 oz.

First poor hydrogen peroxide in bottle or some large open container. Then add the distilled water. Then you add the baking soda and the unscented soap. STIR DO NOT SHAKE!
I use a wood spoon and stir the ingredients together. I will add very small amounts of baking soda at a time stirring until it is completely dissolved. Let this ferment for three days stirring one or twice a day. Do not seal tight in the first 3 days because it may build up pressure and explode. After the three days I store the scent killer in dark containers like the peroxide containers and in my spray bottles. Light breaks down hydrogen peroxide.

Is there a major disadvantage of using large garbage bags for storage? My main concern is the odor they have (you all know the plastic smell I'm talking about). That's what I used last year, and I thought it worked well. Is it worth the money to actually buy a scent bag?

I think garbage bags have a strong odor [:o], I wont use them. I usually use a large tupper container with a scent wafer, and like RJ, I spray down every thing . . . every time!I go through a lot of the stuff, also. :D

I tried making my own a couple of years ago. The bottle blew up all over my shop. I won't do that again.

I spray down quite a bit but use a different spray bottle than the factory provides. Its frommy wives beauty control (HAHAHA) that comes in the form ofa pump/air pressuretype thatmists the scent killer on. It works great; you give it a few pumps then just hold the sprayer down and it disperses in a wide yet even pattern. I seem to get a lot more mileage out of a standard bottle this way.

I spray down when I leave the truck, again when I get to my stand, again when I get in my stand, again when I think I might need to, again just in case, again when I fart, again........ I tend to use A LOT of the stuff. I buy the large bottles every year when they close them out at wally world. I get as many as I can. last year I used 6 of the large bottles. This year I have 10 out in the shop. I expect to use most of that up this season.
2 peas in a pod....I do the same Tex.
