Deer Nerds: How many calories are in...
Just wondering something from a nutritional perspective:
What are the nutritional values (calories/protein/carbs/etc.)of the various deer foods? [ul][*]Field Corn[*]Sweet Corn[*]Browse[*]Alfalfa[*]Grasses[*]Acorns (Red vs. White)[*]Soybean[/ul]I always key my early-season buck hunting in on bucks that are calorie-loading for the late fall. I'd like to "think" I know why they hammer certain foods at certain times, but if I had some nutritional data, it might make it a little easier to connect the dots. Is this info available anywhere? I looked for a minute, and apparently I'm too damn stupid to find it. ![]() Let's put on our Google pants and take a walk down this road. |
