I just got the MIghty Mite in January and I really like it. Short, Light, Lightning fast and accurate as I' ll ever be. The 29 was a little short for my taste and I thought the MM was too...before I shot it. I even shoot the indoor spots with it and while I' m not on top...I' m not an " on top" shooter.
I shot a 30 target outdoor 3d today and it' s better in the woods than I even expected. I wouldn' t take my money back for it.

I own a Bowtech Stalker, a 2002 Bowtech Extreme Solo, and a Parker 31. I like the light weight and the compact size of the Parker 31. The Stalker is lightweight too and is a great hunting bow. I was thinking of getting a Blackhawk - would have to try it though - like the extra shortness over the Stalker and Parker and it is also light. I am going to sell the Solo - a great bow which many use for hunting, but I am spoiled by the light weight of the others. The Stalker is the cheapest, which probably doesn' t matter for your situation. I really would like to hear from people about their opinions of the Blackhawk, since it will be a while before I am in a place that has an archery shop that would have one.

I found the MightyMite too heavy. The Tech29 didn' t have a long enough draw available for me and it was heavy too. At the time I bought the Solo I figured if I was going to carry that weight around I might as well have a longer axle to axle bow. But everyone I have heard of who has a MightyMite has been pleased with it.

Bowman2213, I have a Mighty Mite and really like this bow. It' s accurate, light, and fast. It' s also a pretty easy, short bow to shoot. Everyone that' s shot the VFT seems to really like them. The brace height is pretty close, a little higher on the MM. The VFT may have a little less vibration and recoil. Everyone speaks on how quiet the VFT is. The MM is also very quiet, with limb savers and whiskers. I' m completely satisfied with my Mighty Mite, but haven' t had a chance to shoot a VFT, yet. I' d think either bow would fit your needs. BTW, I' ve shot some decent scores with the MM on local 3D courses.

I am going to buck the flow here, I want to tell you right up front that I do not consider myself a world class archer. I shoot the local 3-D courses and I hunt. I am a 260' s average on the 3-D course from the hunters stake, that' s ok but rarely a trophy score. I shoot for fun and I once owned a Mighty Mite. I could not shoot it. My 3-D scores dropped to below 200! The owner of the pro shop traded me straight across for the solo extreme and I could not shoot it. Please notice that I am saying that I could not shoot them. He then traded me for a PSE mustang and my scores went right back to the 260' s at the next shoot. I am not knocking Bowtech, I can' t shoot them.

Mark, I sold the 02 Pat & got an 03 Pat Dually. I still have the P38 DC (BowTech' s sleeper). I' ve had the Mighty Mite a little over a year.

Bowman2213, The draw is a little stiffer than some, not as bad as others I' ve shot. The valley can be what you make it with the draw stop. Let off can be adjusted from 65 - 80%. The wall is very solid. As with any single cam bow, shooting from the wall is necessary to achieve the best accuracy. Mine is a 60#er. It shoots a 368 gr arrow around 270 at 29" draw.

I like the speed and brace height on the blackhawk but am a little uneasy about the axle to axle length and the potential problems associated with shooting a bow of that size.

I also like the specs on the Mighty Mite though I think I would like the brace a bit bigger for my " perfect bow" specs.

Those would be my two choices though.

How is the dually compared to the Pat 02???

Just out of curiosity..........what did you get for the Patriot??

Always interests me how the value of each bow changes from year to year.

Mark, the Dually is a little stiffer to draw. The grip is a huge improvement, though with some work (I redid the one on the P38) the 02 grip is livable. It' s way faster, same draw weight & length, but 21 fps faster. This thing hits like a truck. Mine shot 288 at 55# with a 368 gr arrow, through a chrono. I like the balance and overall feel of the Dually much better. Having shot the P38 DC for the past year, I' ve come to like the shorter valley and 65% let off. The Dually is hands down a better bow, IMO. I sold the 02 for $475. bare. I had it about 10 months.

Are the 2002 mightymites exactly the same as the 2003' s?

I (yawn, I know I know) have a Blackhawk on order which is supposed to be in on Thursday (dealer said a " factory glitch" caused a delay{after checking}- I think this could be translated into " oh crap, I forgot to order that bow, good thing he called to check on it' s arrival date" ). I won' t have a chance to go and get it until Monday or Tuesday.
When I go to try it out I also plan on looking at/shooting his 2002 mighty mites he has in stock for a discounted price of more than what some people paid for their' s new in 2002!! my luck....

stodr, you mention the tech 29 is no good fro someone with over 29" draw. I shoot a 29" draw with string loop- is the blackhawk at 28.88" going to be too short for me to use with a peep?

From what I have heard, there were VERY VERY minor adjustments in the cams between the 02 and 03 MightyMites. Other than that, they are the same.

I love my MM, talk about a sweet bow. Here are some of my new pics of it.....

Looks like a nice set up. Just wondering -did you tie on that string loop? or the shop where you bought it.
It looks like it could easily loose another .25-.5" in length. This would either get you closer to your original draw length before the loop, or add power stroke if your draw length is now correct with it in it' s current condition. (by adding it back to the draw of the bow).
If that' s just a tie on for the picture, then ignore the following.
If not---
You can loosen one of those knots and get the loop as small as you can make it with still enough room for your release. Cut the loose ends to about .25" showing, and then burn them until they form little balls. Then attch your release and draw your bow a couple of times, seating the burned ends into the knot. This will stretch your loop out to just enough space for the nock to fit on the string plus your release without the release hitting the arrows nock. Any more space is wasted power stroke.
I was looking at my reflex yesterday (while waiting in my tripod for mr. piggy:D) and after doing the previous recommendations it has stretched to about a .25" gap between the release and arrow knock. A little more than it used to be, but any more and the lighter will be headed its way!!
Oh and you don' t need the brass knock either (that' s worth 2-3fps). I' ve been shooting loops for at least 2 years now knock free with no adverse affects. I even use the loop to align my peep.

Take this advice for what it worth and I appreceate the help you been for my decision on which bow to get. I know when I' m at the shop shooting them I' ll be telling myself " buckmagnet really loves his mightymite"
Don' t know if I can cough up another $125.00 [X(]for it over the blackhawk though. Oh well the shooting will decide!!

That was the first string loop I ever tied. I was just experimenting to see how had it was. The directions on the back of the package STUNK so, I had to play around for awhile until I figured it out. I plan on shortening it up some. As far as the nock goes, that will probablly just stay. It is a nice reference point for me. Who really cares about 2 f.p.s. with a bow that IBO' s at 324 f.p.s. :D:D:D

Well, have fun bragging about my bow for me. :D I absolutely LOVE the thing. It fits me like a glove. Alot of people think that it is too short of an axle to axle, but, I don' t see any difference in its size as compared to my 2002 Hoyt MT Sport which was 3" longer a.t.a.

How much are the 03 and 02 MightyMites going for in your area? I got a great deal on my 03 MM for 544.00 plus tax. They normally sell for 599.00 here. The 02 MM' s are selling around here for around 540.00-550.00

He told me he' s knocking $30.00 off the 2002 mighty mites. To bring it to a whopping $570.00 before tax. Thats' $622 after tax.
Not a great bargain in my book. Maybe he' ll come down more if he sees that I' m about to walk without either- if it comes to that.
The blackhawk is $496 after tax. He made me a " good deal" on it since it was ordered. But assured me that if I din' t like it when it came in that there would be no hard feelings because he could easily sell it.
Stodr, I downloaded the 2003 manual from bowtech and it listed the brace at 8 1/8" instead of 8" . It just keeps getting better!!

I shot all the new bowtechs and even own a couple;)

I would not overlook the 03 single patriot, to me it is there best hunting bow.

the perfect A-A, 7.25 brace, great grip, fairly light, and fast 70lb 365grn 297fps.
