trail tacks for possible moving of stand

3. The can
4. GPS
5. Pull rope (for pulling my stuff up a tree)
6.Finger tab (I have forgotten a release before)
7. Small flash light

That's about it!!!!

Otherwise depending on hunt location & duration I could have a bunch of additional items. But the above always find a way into my pack.

Thinking mace for this year. The belt isin case I severaly cut myself, need another strap for some extreme safety sake, and can also be used as a dragging rope (fat guys have it easier as they have longer belts). I'm sure I'll come up with more, but I think this serves the point of the thread.

Dont need one being I hunt close to home but I take my knife,range finder,water all on my belt.......

Tags (always the first thing I ensure I have)
Pens
2 small backup knives (swiss army style)
Small knife sharpener
leatherman tool
extra rope
Hothands warmers
Grunt tube
Bleat can
cover scent
compass (never really need it where I go)
latex gloves (for field dressing)
small flashlight
rangefinder
extra batteries for both the light and my rangefinder
small medical kit
Small squeezable bottle filled with flour to check the wind.
extra ammo during gun season.
extra release during bow (have needed!!)

That's all I can recall now.

I carry everything else outside the pack. ie: my bino's are worn via strap, main knife is in a sheath, etc

Im real simple. Dont carry a back pack. Put my thermocell in my pocket, along with a kife and that is about it. When the rut gets to kicking off, I put a grunt and bleat in my pocket and a rattle bag.

Seriously though.. I cannot fathom how much gear some of you guys carry into the woods. Jeesh!

We honestly talked about using a game cart this year to cart in the equipment when filming. Big treearm, all camera equipment(alot), hunting bag, two stands, a bow sometimes two bows.....it is ridiculous. lol

When I am going solo...I have an extensive pack that goes with me until I part with the truck...from there it is a simple list.

bowhook.
rangefinder.
sometimes water bottle/snack
idk it just depends really.

Range finder ...it's small and I plan to keep this spot foreever..so I'd liketo memorize all the trees round about..I will only take it once..
bow hook ...when it;s dark..theres no since me holding my bow
New Testament ..helps the time go away..builds faith ,,pleases God.every buck I've shot has veen when I was reading the Word..

Last year..both head sets went dead..IN a Florida swamp ..that is petrifying..


Thermacell and repellant as a back up
Mosquitoes are horrible..I need a backup..and it's a screw off top not an aeresal can..

You must remember we all hunt different terrains. I hunt deep in thick woods and I sit all day, so who knows what I will need. It's better to be prepared than wishing you had something.
