saw 3 grey coats yesterday out the back window and no reds.

Was out Monday night - cameras and all the bucks I saw were still in full velvet in northern ND.

One other thing - a couple buddies took some monsters on opening day (late August), and both had a TON of fat already on them when they were skinned - maybe a sign of a hard winter to come?

Hope not.
