I'm in connecticut, and I feel your pain man. The woods are pretty much bare. The only acorn crop I've seen so far are from the 10 foot tall whites, and thats not much to go on.

Man I have been finding good numbers of tree dropping where I hunt . Whites reds and pin oaks . the beachnuts are every where

We've got an unbelievable mast this year in West Tennessee. The white oak acorns in our woods are bigger than concord grapes and there are TONS of them. Same with the hickory trees. We have had a bad drought the past couple years, but this year the rivers flooded pretty good and got out into the bottom land. We've also been getting enough rain. Not lot, but enough. Anyway, I'm hunting trails between the white oak groves this year.

seeing decent crop in south central NC, lots of rain this year as well I have three stands in the few oaks on the property so should be in good shape
